Mamie Eisenhower's Million-dollar Fudge

1 12-ounce can evaporated milk
4½ cups sugar
2 tablespoons butter
Pinch of salt
1 12-ounce package semisweet chocolate chips
12 ounces sweet Baker’s chocolate, broken into small pieces
1 7-ounce jar marshmallow creme
2½ cups chopped walnuts

Butter a 9-inch square baking pan and set aside. Mix evaporated milk, sugar, butter and salt in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Stir and boil for 7 minutes. Combine chocolate chips, Baker’s chocolate, marshmallow creme and walnuts in a large bowl and mix well. Pour boiling evaporated milk mixture over chocolate chip mixture and mix with a wooden spoon until creamy, about 5 minutes. Pour mixture into pan and chill several hours until firm. Cut into 1-inch squares.
