1 pre-baked pie shell
1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 3 oz. box strawberry gelatin
4 cups sliced fresh strawberries
Combine sugar, cornstarch, salt and 1 cup water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil; stir until clear. Remove from heat and stir in gelatin until dissolved. Put back on heat and stir for 1 minute more. Refrigerate for 10-15 minutes or until slightly cooled.
Arrange berries in crust. Pour gelatin mixture over berries. Refrigerate until set. Garnish with whip cream if desired.
